French Hill For Congress? Sure, Why Not?

French Hill
French Hill

Max Brantley at the Arkansas Times suggests that Little Rock banker and Republican French Hill may be looking at a challenge to Second District Congressman Vic Snyder. Excitement!

Which is as good a time as any to remind you that Hill will be the guest speaker tomorrow at the Central Arkansas Republican Club, way up on top of the Regions Bank Building in downtown Little Rock, so show up and put him on the spot on Friday at 11:30 a.m.

It’s too late to RSVP for lunch, you laggard, but maybe they’ll let you hang around in the back and they’ll toss some scraps your way, or you can just linger around the lobby elevators and catch him on the way out, like some kind of creepy weirdass stalker.

Can’t think of a better man to challenge “St. Vic” than F.Hill. But surely, St. Vic will come up with one or two of his “characteristic” votes and oppose Obama and Pelosi (on some Democrat idocy where his vote will not matter): isn’t that reason enough to keep the most liberal Congresscritter Arkansas has ever seen?

C’mon, even David Kincade thinks Vic’s “standing all alone” votes aren’t some cynical ploy on St. Vic’s part; and Kincade can’t be wrong, can he?????????????????????

    Just sayin’

I was asked not to flip cam the meeting. Sorry, but French mainly talked about the economy and such and offered very little to gossip about. Nevertheless, A post will be for forth coming.

Well, “Barbara,” I don’t recall writing anything in praise of Snyder’s votes, but I have given him some kudos for not embracing the opportunistic posturing that many other Arkansas Dems take up every time they see the winds blowing in a new direction. Your ongoing crusade to convince everyone that Snyder is a liberal strikes me as a little weird, since that’s a fact that all of us pretty much agree on, but carry on.

We find ourselves in agreement that Mr. Hill would make an interesting opponent for Snyder.
