This Arkansas Girl Won ‘Survivor’ (Updated!)

Natalie White

****UPDATE: I’m keeping this post at the top for a couple of days because the photos are so awesome. New stuff will show up underneath. ****

Come, let us dispense with tiresome talk of the 2010 Senate race (“Will Jim Holt get in? When will Jim Holt get in? Is Jim Holt in yet? Has anyone talked to Jim Holt?” “Jim Holt…call me!” “Jim! Holt!”) and the dreary back and forth over Obamacare to focus on the things that matter most to the Arkansas Project readership.

And so here is Natalie White, a 26-year-old pharmaceutical sales rep from Van Buren, who took home the $1 million dollar prize on the CBS reality show “Survivor,” which means she is now better funded than all of the candidates in the GOP Senate primary. Ha ha! Zing! See how I brought it back around there?

More Natalie at the jump.

I don't think she should be wearing those shoes on that terrain.

She’s originally from Bryant where she graduated HS with me.

She LIVES in Van Buren and calls Van Buren home.

Not sure I quite understand your point Rick? I thought that was already mentioned in Kinkade’s post. Though I see you found the caps lock key.

  • Brett,
Maybe the point Rick is trying to make is that Ms. White’s Arkansas residency bona fides are in order, despite her recent island sojourn, and that she thus should consider running for the U.S. Senate against Blanche Lincoln.

Unfortunately, she’s constitutionally ineligible to run for U.S. Senate, due to her age.

  • Thank you, Arkansas Blogger. I seriously had hoped that Ms. White would emerge as a leading contender in the 2010 Senate race, but thanks to your pedantic and literal guidance on constitutional niceties, I am now disabused of that obviously wrongheaded notion.

Christ, what happened to our GOOD commenters? Rex? Cameron? DumbArkie? Why hast thou forsaken me? These new guys are all scrubs.

Surely we could suspend the Constitution for her?

Bill is still here, David. I’ll always comment when you want me too.

Kinkade, thank you for 1) posting this bikini shot and 2) posting a bikini shot of a hottie from Arkansas.

Doesn’t it say something when we prevent someone from running for public office due to their age, but make absolutely no prohibition, once they reach the required age, due to mental deficiency?

By the way, I am in awe of your last post, one in which you slipped in pedantic, literal, and disabused in a single sentence. And I am passing on the multisyllabic usage of obviously, wrongheaded, constitutional, and niceties, also in the same sentence. Fourche River Rex would probably have posted by now, but undoubtedly he is still lost in his online dictionary and thesaurus, trying to figure out what the heck you were saying.

Well, either that or he is still in the bathroom shaving the Yak lady’s back…

Huh? Did someone say something? I was shaving the Yak lady’s back when I could have sworn someone said pedantic and disabused.

I agree with Cameron…that was some serious linguistic limber you you put on display there!

This gal looks smoking hot–on the amber screen of my Commadore 64 anyways.

Btw, I think Bill from Sheridan is already in talks with her to run statewide in 2014.

frankly, am disappointed that such a nice and attractive young lady from Arkansas has yet to be linked to Tiger. What, Arky girls aren’t good enough?

Rumor of the day: Rep. Berry doesn’t run for re-election. Instead he runs for Lite Gov.

Yes David, it is amazing what a simple thing like posting a bikini-clad lovely can do to drag some of us out of the woodwork, or away from grooming the Yak Lady.

I for one am ready to march in the street to protest the denial of Natalie White’s request to become our next U.S. Senator. Forget the constitution, this would be one candidate we could all get behind.

Why have I forsaken YOU? David, David, David. If you’ll recall way back in August, I announced the results of the DumbArkie name recognition poll as it pertained to running against Blanche Lincoln for the U.S Senate.

The cost of conducting that poll caused me considerable debt. (So much debt that I missed two trailer rental payments.) In order to recoup said debt, I formed the “DumbArkie for U.S. Senate” exploratory committee. So, for the past four months, I’ve been exploratatin’ across the Great State of Arkansas. I’ve discovered many things about the wants and needs of my fellow Arkansawyers that can be categorized into three areas. You wanna know what they are David? Do ya? Huh? I don’t give a damn! I’m gonna tell ya anyway.

    A. HEALTH CARE
    1.Safer meth labs
2.Guaranteed coverage for ALL Mumbly Peg accidents (e.g. pre-existing or self-inflicted.)
3.More funding for poison ivy prevention
    B. FAMILY VALUES
    1.Extended huntin’ seasons
    2.Why CAN’T cousins marry?
3.More girlie pics on The Arkansas Project (Verrrrry popular at deer camp.)
    C. FINANCIAL CONCERNS
1.The U.S. Dollar has fallen to near parity with the Confederate Dollar. (Actually, many Arkansawyers see that as a good thing because that’s what Great Grandma’s mattress is stuffed with.)
2.Do they still sell PBR anywhere?
3.Walmart charges $2 more for XXL sizes.

And speaking of finances, David. I raised nearly as much money as most other Republican candidates for Arkansas’ U.S. Senate seat (BTW, did you know that banks make you roll coins yourself?) and not so much as one disembodied head of DumbArkie on your silly little charts!!! So dear David, who hath forsaken whom???

Now David, you know I cain’t hold a grudge. Let’s bury the hatchet. If you can somehow hook me up with Natalie White, I see a win-win for everyone concerned. Otherwise, I may have to suspend my campaign.

  • The return of DumbArkie! It’s truly a Christmas miracle. Also, I’m assuming that you mean “suspend my campaign” in this context as some sort of gross euphemism.

What about Holt? Didn’t Bax Mrantly say he was thinking about thinking about having a fundraiser?

    Reply
  • Barbara, Holt is having a fundraiser tomorrow night in Rogers and yes he is jumping into the race. Jim will be the strongest candidate running and will certainly shake things up when he officially jumps into the race.

    Reply
  • Jim Holt is a proven loser.

    Reply
  • A proven loser? Holt has received more votes in Arkansas than any other Republican candidate. If that makes him a loser, what does that make the rest of the past
Republican candidates? We have had some good candidates in the past, including Holt, but circumstances helped lead them to defeat. This time around its Blanche Lincoln who is going to be carrying Obama around her neck as well as her vote for health care reform. This election will be different no matter who is our nominee, I just happen to be supporting Holt.

Rick please quit making up facts. Win Rockefeller has received more votes in Arkansas than any other Republican candidate when he received more than 477,000 in 2002.

    Reply
  • Brett, you are correct. Holt has received more votes than any LIVING republican. My point is that someone who pulled as many votes in ’04 & ’06 should get some serious attention. Obviously the people we have been electing in the past hasn’t worked. We have a 2 Party system where both Party’s are running this country in the ground. I’m sick of sending elected officials, democrat and republican, to DC and getting the same results.

@Rick, Holt may be a loser, but he is our loser. We need something different. People use the argument that Blanche will win if Holt runs. Well if he doesn’t then our choice will be vote for Blanche or Blanche. One will currently be in office and the other will have different plumbing. To day we need to vote for the candidate that has the most money is to say we can be bought. We just continue to go down the same path over and over.
