Former Sen. David Pryor, who now chairs the Democratic Party of Arkansas, endorsed Democrat Joe White in his bid to unseat GOP Sen. Gilbert Baker this week, the Log Cabin Democrat reports. Which seems like it would go without saying, but who am I to argue?
In a visit to Conway, Pryor said that the high-profile race between Baker and White is “capturing the imagination of the state,” and that White is a good candidate because he’s “got the heart for state service”: “If you’ve got the heart, you can do it,” Pryor said.
Pryor then said a bunch of other inspirational things that sound like they should be in a Disney movie, and then all the jungle creatures joined in for a big sweeping musical number penned by Elton John. It was a magical night.
