That Duggar Kid Got Married

Josh and Anna Duggar
Josh and Anna Duggar

Josh Duggar, eldest of the gigantic northwest Arkansas Duggar clan (17 kids and counting), was married to Anna Keller in Florida on Friday, Sept. 26. The Florida Times-Union in Jacksonville has a nice write-up, and there are a whole bunch of photos at the couple’s wedding website, but please don’t ask me why they’re wearing matching polo style shirts.

Yes, I know I noted this a few days ago, but it turns out that was one of the highest trafficked posts of the last week, so I figure I’ll give you people more of what you want. And imagine, here I was thinking that what you wanted was more of Dan Greenberg’s thoughts on public education reform.

Well, those are some good lookin’ kids. That explains why there were so many ugly kids in the public school I attended. All the good lookin’ ones were being home schooled. You probably don’t find too many of the inbred kids with teeth growing out of their cheeks and small misshapen eyes being homeschooled.
But I got to wonder, why in the world did they make a website for their wedding? That stumped me.
Good for them. I hope they have a long and fertile marriage, pun intended. I mean, after the world ends, and we are driving our Mad Max cars, someone will have to repopulate the earth with good wholesome people that wear matching shirts. Who better than the Duggars? I for one welcome our new overlords and am awed by the testicular might of the all potent Jim Bob. Hurray for Jim Bob! Hurray for Josh! Huzzah, Duggars! Huzzah!

  • I am glad that they like that many children but you have to admire the woman for going through child birth that many times!

Late, most likely not going to be read comment, but what the heck: Having just caught some of the wedding special on TLC on Sunday, January 25, I surmise that they wore matching polo shirts during the wedding rehearsal for a laugh … obviously Anna’s is oversized; possibly a spare duplicate one of Josh’s?

  • I think they are a bunch of selfish morons. The last thing our planet needs is people who breed like rabbits. And what’s to admire about the little Mrs.? She’s obviously never learned the word “no” and I bet she doesn’t teach her girl children that word either. It’s so obvious this family is being led around by a male chauvinist pig who gets away with being one by hiding behind his fundamentalist Christian religion. And Anna looks like a doe-eyed deer in the headlights in those stupid wedding pictures! God. She obviously has no idea what she has signed up for. On the best of days she’ll be a barefoot, mullet-wearing pregnant hand-maiden spreading her legs whenever Josh has a hard one; and on her worst days … well I guess it doesn’t get much worse than that. I find the whole thing depressing. Even more depressing is the fact that people like you are all impressed by this crap! But I guess in ya’lls world of lemmings and followers, easily impressionable is the name of the game.

You have no idea what you are talking about. When you are a ‘real’ Christian, a follower of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ that is; then you follow the Bible.
The Husband is the head of the house and the wife is by his side. He is not above her.
Children are a gift from God, it is a blessing to have one or more.
Anna is not a stupid girl, she loves her husband and Joshua loves his wife, like Christ loves us.
They are selfless people, they love and care for one another, unlike so many people in this world.
They made a commitment, something that this society that we live in believes you can just walk away from if you do not ‘FEEL’ like doing it anymore.
This family is an inspiration to the world today.
I pray that they have many healthy children in their future.
May God bless you, Joshua and Anna with a beautiful family.
