Next Arkansas Tea Party, June 15

Following up on the success of the April 15 Tea Party demonstrations across Arkansas, which promoted government fiscal responsibility and accountability, organizers are launching another effort at the Riverfront Amphitheater in Little Rock on Monday, June 15, at 5:30 p.m. to coincide with the anniversary of Arkansas’ statehood.

So we’ve got another Tea Party lined up, and this one’s gonna have everything. Musical acts! A former Miss Arkansas singing the national anthem! Radio man Dave Elswick! Kids’ activities! Rep. Dan Greenberg! This guy!:

He’s mad about everything!

Check out the Arkansas Tea Party website for more info, including sponsorship opportunities for all you deep-pocketed types out there.

“Kids’ activities!” I didn’t see that one on Jessica Dean’s list.

They say they’ll have face-painting. I told Tolbert I’d give him $10 to let them paint a a Spiderman mask on his face and walk around like that for the duration of the event.

Thanks a lot David. I was gonna be Spiderman…and for free. Well never mind, just forget it! Hmmph!…

…hey, maybe I could go as some kind of martial arts master. Any ideas?

  • You should totally go as one of the greatest sensei’s of all time – Master Splinter.

  • I dunno Elizabeth. It seems a bit risky. I’ve heard Blake Rutherford will be nearby taking down the license plates of everyone in attendance. So…if he sees me dressed as Master Splinter, he might mistake me for a Diseased Dire Rat and challenge me to a weekend of Dungeons & Dragons. So, um, I’m gonna have to pass.

  • Hm. Well, I guess you could always paint on a pretty butterfly montage. Not big on Dungeons & Dragons lore, but surely there’s not a giant killer butterly you could be mistaken for.
