More on GOP Victory Team Shuffling
Following up on The Tolbert Report’s blog tip earlier today, the Arkansas GOP’s Victory 2008 chairman Doyle Webb confirms that Republican staffers in Arkansas to support the McCain/Palin ticket are being downsized and distributed to more competitive states. Webb tells the Rob Moritz of the Arkansas News Bureau:
John McCain has a strong lead in the state of Arkansas. Particularly after Senator Obama snubbed Hillary Clinton and did not choose her as his running mate, we have found that lead has strengthened.
The same story quotes a Democratic Party spokesperson who says that she has “yet to see evidence of any McCain activity in Arkansas,” which, if you stop to think about it a second, really just kind of makes things look even worse for Obama’s chances in the state.
