McCain in Rogers Friday Night

Doug Thompson from the Morning News of Northwest Arkansas has a report from the John McCain fundraiser in Rogers last night.

This graf stands out:

This was McCain’s second public visit to Arkansas since April. Obama hasn’t made a public stop in the state since September 2006. Calls to Obama’s headquarters in Chicago for a response were not returned. State Democratic chairman Bill Gwatney told The Associated Press on Friday that McCain would not visit the state so frequently if he wasn’t concerned about losing it in the election. (emphasis added)

Well, that’s one way of looking at it. Another might be that Obama might have made a visit to Arkansas at some point in the last 22 months if he felt he stood the remotest chance of winning the state.

Report says about 200 attended the event at 500 bucks a pop.
