We’re taking the day off from policy and politics to help spread the word about storm relief efforts that are ongoing in central Arkansas.
Representative David Meeks has put together a fairly detailed list of places that are accepting donations in Vilonia, Conway, Maumelle, and elsewhere. His list also includes places of shelter in many of these cities. View his complete list here, which Rep. Meeks says he will be updating throughout the week.
If you’re interested in helping the Red Cross collect items or giving blood, you can visit their website here.
Finally, Apostolic Church is collecting tarps, flashlights, batteries, hand sanitizer, non-perishable food items, gloves, toiletries, chainsaws, blankets and bottled water. Donations can be dropped off at 4315 Landers Rd. in North Little Rock.
The full extent of last night’s storms is not yet known, but there have been at least 16 confirmed fatalities so far. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those who have been impacted.
