Happy New Year and Stuff

Odds are I won’t be doing too much more blogging today—I’ve got some work to wrap up, and then I’m taking Arkansas Project Girlfriend (APG) out for a big New Years Eve to-do. She’s always complaining that I never take her anywhere fancy for dinner, so her head’s just gonna pop when she sees this Olive Garden coupon.

So if I don’t talk to you again, Happy New Year and all that.

  • C’mon David, shoot the works and do up Macaroni Grill. It’s New Years, for cryin’ out loud.

  • I for one admire a man brave enough to use a coupon on a date. Kudos to you, Sir!

  • The key to using coupons on a dinner date, Jason, is getting comfortable with the idea of not being spoken to on the drive home. I find it gives me time to be alone with my thoughts.

David, what does your lady have to be upset about? We don’t have an Olive Garden in Sheridan. But, I promise you if we did my Old Lady would LOVE to go for New Years.

Well, I decided to stop by and (as the ARPro likes to say) make an ass of myself once again. I do plan to bring up some additional points to ponder regarding David Sanders’ review of the ARGLOWARMCOMM and the crap they have been up to, but that can wait until a later, and probably a little more sober time.

In the meantime, Happy New Year fellow posters and readers of The Arkansas Project (all five of us) and to you Mr. Arkansas Project. Best of all for the coming year.

And, Miss Arkansas Project Girlfriend (Miss APG), you need to lighten up on our friend and mentor. It is obvious by the fact that you are already going out with him that you are somewhat challenged by the dating scene and don’t need to be running off your last few opportunities by being picky about either 1) his dining choices, or 2) his payment methods. Unless, of course, you are currently up to your elbows in suds doing the dishes in the Olive Garden…

  • I kept it extra classy and took my lady to Johnny Carino’s New Year’s Eve night.
    The food was lovingly mediocre.
Sadly, they were no longer doing the two can dine for $19.99 deal, so it was more expensive than I had hoped.
