The 2010 Polling Begins?

Too early for 2010 polling? Oh, dear heavens no, my friend.

I just took a call off my desk phone in which a recorded voice of some nice man invited me to field a few questions. The survey was comprised of nine questions focused on Sen. Blanche Lincoln, potential GOP challengers Gilbert Baker and Tim Griffin, some other Arkansas Democratic officials, and, believe it or not, Rush Limbaugh. All the questions are listed at the jump.

Then there were the usual demographic questions about race, gender, etc. In case you were wondering, I’m a 63-year-old black Democratic woman.

I was taking notes quickly, so the transcriptions won’t be 100 percent precise, but this gets at the substance of the questions. I don’t recall hearing the nice man say who was running this survey — I don’t believe he said.

But I assume, since those Rush Limbaugh questions are in there, it’s probably one of those thoroughly inept Washington D.C. organizations like the Democratic National Committee or the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. I don’t think the Lincoln campaign people would waste a perfectly good question on such a perfectly asinine matter.

Full list of survey questions, more or less accurately recorded by me:

Do you approve or disapprove of President Barack Obama’s job performance?

Do you approve or disapprove of Sen. Blanche Lincoln’s job performance?

Do you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of Arkansas Sen. Gilbert Baker?

Do you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of former U.S. Attorney Tim Griffin?

If the 2010 U.S. Senate race were between Gilbert Baker and Blanche Lincoln, who would you vote for?

If the 2010 U.S. Senate race were between Tim Griffin and Blanche Lincoln, who would you vote for?

Do you approve or disapprove of Gov. Mike Beebe’s job performance?

Do you approve or disapprove of Sen. Mark Pryor’s job performance?

Do you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of Rush Limbaugh?

Do you think Rush Limbaugh is currently the leading voice for the Republican Party?

  • Why did they not include the question – If the 2010 U.S. Senate race were between David Kinkade and Blanche Lincoln, who would you vote for?

  • From your March 20 post: “Steady as she goes.” [AIG and Vic Snyder]

Too bad to see The Arkansas Project praising Vic Snyder for not running around like a “hysterical posturing ninny…” concerning AIG. This is how Vic keeps getting re-elected. He takes these stands on a vote when the D-Hysterical majority cannot lose, and pretends that he’s more principaled and doesn’t always agree with the D-mob. But look closer at what Vic is saying:

    1. Gosh, we need more time to consider this tax hike; wouldn’t want to legislate without going through hearings and considering the consequences.

    2. But, on the underlying “Porkulus” $875 billion dollar spendapoluza, we did’t need any time to read that 1000+ page bill or even consider what it said. Pay no attention to the folks who said that the Porkulus Bill required us to read it (since it explicitly authorized the AIG bonuses, even though it could just as easily have done the opposite).

IN OTHER WORDS, yes, I see no problem with tanking the budget and putting your children’s children in hock for the rest of their lives so that our friends in government unions can have nice new offices, new hybrid SUV’s, and a good “return on their campaign investment.” But when it comes to taxing the folks at AIG, well, gosh, count me out, you’ll just have to do that without me.

Hypocricy knows no bounds. Snyder doesn’t deserve praise (he’ll get it from Max no matter what he does), he deserves our eternal condemnation for his double standards. He makes Blank Lincoln look like a piker

  • Your children’s children will be indebt for life, so that the federal government can borrow the money to take care of their 9,000 pet projects inserted in the recent budget (Which Vic supported) including:

    – Removing tattoos from gang members (California): $200,000

Oh, yes, and Hypocricy should be: Hypocrisy in the post ABOVE.

Oddly enough, other than the black lesbian chick part, that’s actually more true than you would think…
