  1. Blake Rutherford Says:

Alright, alright. Check out the latest over at The Think Tank. I have Arkansas and a solid state for McCain. It doesn’t have to be, but it’s pretty clear that the Obama campaign is going to focus elsewhere.

  2. David Kinkade Says:

    Blake,
You have to understand, it’s so rare that an Arkansas Republican gets to trash talk that we have to make the most of those opportunities when they come around.

    YEA!!! Take that Arkansas Democrats!

  4. Brent Says:

She may come for a get out the vote rally which would sure help the Republican Legislative candidates.

  5. Bill from Sheridan Says:

The good thing about Obama being on the ticket is that it is going to help the RPA pick up about 5 state house seats this year.

The Democrats super-majority in the legislature is going to shrink now that Huckabee isn’t undermining every Republican legislative candidate in the State.

  6. David Kinkade Says:

Is that true? Will McCain/Palin have any effect that far down the ballot in Arkansas? Seems to me that Arkansas voters have demonstrated their capacity for split-ticket voting plenty of times.

  7. Bill from Sheridan Says:

Arkansas voters are more than capable of splitting their tickets and many will this year. However, the RPA is going to win legislative seats that are in mostly Republican areas already. Look for the Republicans to pickup seats in Saline, White, North Pulaski, and Washington Counties.

Impressive use of the Drudge Report’s breathless promise of good things go come: “Developing. . .” What a masterful ellipsis! (Or Biden-like plagiarism, I’m not sure which.)

  9. David Kinkade Says:

    John,
Especially since it’s not really “developing,” other than me waiting for the state GOP to send out a press release in a couple of weeks.

  10. Blake Rutherford Says:

    David,

So true. I’ll still submit that there are strong arguments for Obama making a play here. But if you look at the poll numbers compared to those in PA, OH, FL, MI, NC, CO, NV, IN, WI. NH and ND I can understand why he’s focusing his efforts elsewhere. Of course, this race could come down to New Hampshire’s four electoral votes. Obama might have wished that he had focused some resources in Arkansas. Time will tell.

  11. AKA Bryce Says:

YEA!!! But untill then Blake…..take that!!! YEA!! We win one!!

That should be all the winning we do for a while.

    -I’ll be quiet now.
