As Shakespeare said in "Measure for Measure", "Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose what we oft might win, by fearing to attempt." So, go for it Timmy G. You won't win if you don't try.
So now it seems the contest is going to be;
Tom Cotton (nobody but a few Repubs know him, no name recognition will have a hard time raising money).
Rick Calhoun (dropped out of one race already, rumors abound why).
And Tim Griffin (whom Max Brantly is going to town on).
Anyone else I'm missing?

Honestly, out of this group, the best politician is probably Tim Griffin. The boy knows politics.

That being said, Calhoun is a Scottish name. We all know that you can't whip the Scots. If Tim Griffin looks like he will win, Calhoun will snap his neck and then burn down his house.

At least it will make for good blogging.

Well, I'm actually not allowed to go to Ouchita County anymore. The reason is because of me, a frog and the mayor of Stamps.

I'm going to have to agree with Br549 and Bob on this one. My fellow Republicans keep talking about Lincoln's "vulnerability," but without a specific candidate it sounds an awful lot like the Underpants Gnomes' "profit."

Br549, Blanche is beatable, but it would take a candidate like Stanley Reed to beat her.

If the Republicans want to truly make Arkansas a two party state they need to continue building a farm team in the legislature. If they can get over 40 members in the state house and 13-14 seats in the senate they'll be well suited to run a race for Governor in 2014.

Well, the Repubs gotta start somewhere.

This mysterious dream "candidate" isnt going to surface...which should speak volumes about the Senator's "vulnerability."

Not impressed with announcing via "Twitter" he was mulling a Senate race. Neither would 95% of Arkansas voters.

You just proved Bills point.
