‘Joe the Plumber’ on ‘Huckabee’
You’ve no doubt seen all the to-do these last few days surrounding “Joe the Plumber,” an Ohio small businessman who has emerged as some kind of one-man metaphor for what ails you in this current economy.
Joe’s fame as a footnote to Election ‘08 was sealed earlier in the week when he asked Barack Obama about his tax plans, and Obama replied with a bunch of redistributionist gibberish, or something like that. Arkansas’ own Citizens Journal blog covered it here.
(Update: Arkansas Project reader McB points out that Joe the Plumber was prominently featured in last night’s presidential debate, but I would not have known that as I don’t watch that nonsense. Besides, there was a new “South Park” on.)
That’s a long way around of getting to the point of this post, which is that “Joe the Plumber” will be the marquee guest on Mike Huckabee’s FOX News show on Saturday. Other contributors to the weirdness: Country singer Aaron Tippin and Rev. Al Sharpton. Yes, you read that correctly.
In a related story, after looking at that photo, I asked Arkansas Project Girlfriend (APG) if she thought I could pull off the shaved head look. She laughed out loud and said that I might want to consider getting my body fat percentage down below 45 percent before I pulled something like that. Some days I think the magic is gone.

Let’s just hope that the Little Rockers let Aaron Tippin do the singing this week.
