Duggars ‘17 and Counting’ Review in NYT

Arkansas' first family
Since I’ve recently discovered that Arkansas Project readers are nutso for all things Duggar, here’s a little something for you: The New York Times offers a review of the “17 and Counting” reality show on TLC focusing on the massive northwest Arkansas brood and their wacky misadventures:
“17 Kids and Counting” maintains a compassionate tone toward the Duggars. But its existence seems designed to make anyone watching it feel righteous. The mother of the well-spoken only child gets to feel smug. The religious mother of six gets to feel as though Christian families are sacred. This show doesn’t exploit the people in it; it exploits the divisions among everyone watching.

D. need your help on a story that is brewing about Obama being a “new Party” socialist member.
There are some Arkansas connections.
Do you recognize any of them ?

John,
None of those names mean anything to me, but they also predate my involvement in Arkansas politics.

Are the rest of us supposed to know what is going on here? Were there names and you just omitted them, “D.”?

Sorry, Lawdog. You gotta click on John’s name to go to his blog. Looking at it now, that does look like a bizarre exchange.
