It is odd that we think someone announcing in January is jumping in the game late. The primary isn't till May. All politicians are opportunistic. There isn't one of them who is running who doesn't think he should win(well if they are then they need to get out).

RR, many have selective memories and cannot recall. Of course with the internet, it is always easy to take a look back and see. Maybe Teddy has spent some time reading, living and breathing this idealogy.

Why are Teddy Republican's opinions always consistent with the financial interest of Clint Reed?

Cloudy skies is right. This is a trainwreck happening right before our eyes in slow motion. Heck, I like Asa and Boozman but this smacks of opportunism on both their parts. If Boozman wanted to run he should have manned up and declared early before it looked like a sure thing. If Blanche exits I think he would be a weak candidate simply because he has not been in a real contest in a while. I personally do not want re-treads as Congressmen. There is not a deficit of older white guys in Washington that we need to fill with one of these guys. We need some new blood. Boozman should stay put and Asa should stay in private practice law. Just my opinion.
