Arkansas Going Blue?
Blake Rutherford over at the Think Tank blog points to pundit chatter that “Arkansas is tightening” in presidential polls.Recent polling data is hard to come by, but Congressional Quarterly, which in the past has tagged Arkansas as a “safe” hold for McCain, now has the Natural State in the “leans Republican” column. One to watch.
Update: The Tolbert Report has the MSNBC video of pundit Chuck Todd discussing changes in the electoral map. Todd says states like Arkansas and West Virginia “are still in the McCain column,” but are becoming more competitive.

I think Chuck Todd is a little naïve if he thinks Arkansas is in play. We’re not Oklamhoma or Alabama, but McCain is going to win here, and he’ll probably win here by 10-12%. I think Todd probably doesn’t understand the dynamics of the state very well.
