‘A Good Fight’ Goes National With MTV Appearance

Last week, I noted the Fayetteville-based pop-punk band “A Good Fight,” featuring the talents of Arkansas Rep. Jon Woods (R-Springdale) on bass. As a follow-up, Woods informs me that the band will be featured at 1 p.m. on Sunday as the winners of the national “I Want My Music on MTV” contest. (Other band members are vocalist Eddie Love, guitarist Rizz Woods and drummer Sean Merriott).

Woods says that the band beat out 4,000 other acts to have their song “The Drama” featured on an episode of “Made,” an MTV reality show that I’ve never heard of and will never watch, but I’m probably not exactly the target demographic, and it’s still cooler than anything I’ve ever done, so maybe I’ll just shut up.

Kidding aside, MTV will air the video for “The Drama” after the episode airs and will follow that up with an “online virtual party” allowing A Good Fight fans from all over the world to log on and chat with the band. Congrats to the guys.

And you might think that with all this pimping I’m doing for the band that they would send The Arkansas Project a free copy of the debut disc, wouldn’t you? (*cough, cough*)

I hope he plays base better than he returns phone calls.
